LEI OF HOPE - JUNE 14, 2026
Join UVSC for a special event to celebrate the strength, hope, and resilience of cancer survivors & the loved ones that support them.
Corks for a Cause - Lei of Hope

Join us to celebrate Cancer Survivors Month & create your very own Lei of Hope!
On Sunday, June 14, our friends at deVine Wine Lounge will donate 15% of sales from 4-7pm to UVSC so come relax, sip, savor and celebrate the survivors who inspire us every day.
Guests can wine down the weekend with exquisite wines from around the world, alongside local favorites that highlight the spirit of our beautiful island.
Our talented friend, local lei artist, Sasha Lei, will share her creative designs and techniques to assist guests in creating their very own lei kui (a traditional Hawaiian method of lei making where each flower is carefully pierced and strung). Together, we will celebrate strength, hope, and resilience through every lei to recognize cancer survivors and the friends and family that supported them along the way.
Reserve your lei kui supplies ahead of time ($40 per kit); or bring your own to use or share. No experience required.
CURRENT UVSC HEROES FIGHTING CANCER
All donations received help to sustain and expand UVSC's Financial Assistance Program for families in Hawaiʻi as they battle cancer, and to support research to help find a cure. There is no shame in asking for help - you are not alone!

Eva’Marih
Meet UVSC Hero, Eva’Marih, a 7-year old on O’ahu that is currently undergoing treatment for pineoblastoma (a type of tumor in her brain). She loves to pass time by doing arts and crafts and “vlogging” her art work. After her diagnosis in June 2025, Eva’Marih went through 3 invasive surgeries in her brain to remove the tumor, radiation therapy, and is now going through chemotherapy. During treatment, she also learned that “her dreams would come true” and she would soon become a big sister!
