UVSC’s new annual fundraising event, “Catalyst for Hope,” will debut on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hoʻokupu Center at Kewalo Basin Park in Honolulu. This elegant and inspiring event will bring together roughly 200 of Hawaiʻi’s leading business professionals and philanthropists committed to providing hope to those battling cancer.

“Catalyst for Hope” will feature an evening of:
- Food stations for your grazing and tasting pleasure, sure to satisfy all palates! Gourmet cuisine by local celebrity chefs, including: Sheldon Simeon, Dave Caldiero, Reggie Ballesteros, and Terry Lynch.
- Live entertainment by renowned musician, Tavana; plus opening jams by Jack Forster
- Updates on cutting-edge brain cancer research presented by neurosurgeon, Dr. Linda Liau, from the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery

Be a Catalyst for Hope
All funds raised from the event will directly support UVSC’s Financial Assistance Program for cancer fighters in Hawai’i, and a portion will be donated to the UCLA Department of Neurosurgery, a leader in providing break-through treatments to cancer fighters from Hawai’i and around the world.
